Wild flora collection
This new collection of works is based on my walks along a local country lane during the autumn time. Perhaps like me, you love this time of year? The rich autumnal colours, diverse textures and high energy provide the basis for the work. I focus on capturing the feel of the place, of the planting, the dynamics of the walk along and on specific swathes of plants. The collection includes work on paper, panels, panoramic boards and canvas, each with their own qualities. Work on paper
Working on paper, often on location, is an important part of my practice. These works reflect my love for working expressively and spontaneously to capture aspects of the subject.
The 3 coloured works (21 x 29.7 cm with 5 cm white mount surround) reflect my use of collage and other mixed media in my practice.
The 2 black and white charcoal, ink and pencil works (42 cm x 29.7 cm with 5 cm white mount surround) reflect my love for working on location.

Wild Flora ‘gems’
I have loved working on these small panels! Their size offers a different, more intimate and contemplative way of working. They are like little jewels of sketch book sized richness; many layers to create a textured, detailed surface, reminiscent of the place. Pieces with a feel of the wild flora, the colours, details and compositions.
Original paintings on cradle panel finished with UV satin varnish and ready to hang. (15 cm x 20 cm x 2 cm; 6 inches x 8 inches x ¾ inch).

Panoramic panels
The walks along the lane, its lyrical language, looking this way and that, across at the rich wild flora, provided inspiration for this work. Pastel work in a concertina sketchbook captured the changing planting from rosebay willowherb swathes to grassy banks and brambles. It provided the inspiration for these mixed media pieces..
Original mixed media paintings on MDF board, finished with UV satin varnish. In a white float frame, ready to hang.
