Landscape Inside out
This body of work , shared in a joint exhibition by the same name is inspired by the local landscapes: the moors, the woodland and the valleys between, that surround me in Saddlworth, NW UK. The abstract paintings evolved as an exploration of my impressions of these dramatic landscapes. They were developed over a 2 year period, consist of many layers of paint, collage and other media and explore aspects of the identity of these places: their marks, shapes, colours and energy during different seasons and weathers. They explore and show aspects of both time and place. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you are interested in purchasing a painting and would like additional information.
