Being out in nature, in different seasons and weathers, experiencing all that it has to offer, is essential for my practice. I spend time looking across at the views, or walking and immersed in the landscape, with the scent of plants and the sound of birds overhead. Our experience comes from looking down, looking up, looking this way and that-a sensory extravagance. I think that is why my work is never a single view. I am trying to capture the overall feelings of being there and immersed in the place.
